The Compound UK : High Intensity Street Workout and Fitness

The Compound is a Street Workout and Calisthenics Fitness Facility founded around 4 years ago at the William Knibb Centre in Kettering. It was set up by Anton Guidera in 2010, who decided to give something back to his community, and since then it has become an everyday part of so many people’s lives.

Calisthenics is about using one’s own body strength to exercise. Weighted Plates and Vests, Resistance Bands and Kettle Bells can also be added to increase overall lifting mass of a person in order to make workouts more demanding for more advanced members. Fitness regimes at The Compound are dominated by what we call the fundamental basics and foundations for the body. They consist of Pull-Ups, Push-Ups, Dips, Squats, And Abdominal Crunches or Sit-Ups. Just these movements alone can be worked into sessions to provide an effective yet demanding, full body workout for all ages, sexes, fitness levels and abilities.

Unlike traditional gyms, The Compound offers a sense of belonging and a powerful social aspect. Our members regularly interact outside of training sessions. Whether that be going for something to eat, drinks, visits to other Calisthenics Facilities around the country, even holidays and weddings!

Over the years we have experience people from all sorts of backgrounds, from good to bad. We strive and promote to improve a person’s attitude towards others, behaviour and overall self-respect…all through training and discipline. We encourage members to help each other during sessions, give advice, take advice and learn from ourselves and each other.

The Compound is not just a fitness class. It is a life changing experience for most; a social network of inspiring, hardworking individuals who we are proud to call family.

We hope to see more and more people come to The Compound to inspire others and achieve greatness.

Welcome to Our World!!!
